history }Meleny was born to Lily and James Potter on the night of July 30,1980.She and Harry were only a year old when they were killed by Voldemort. Then she turned eleven and was accepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. She was sorted into Gryffindor along with Harry and his two best friends Ron and Hermione. Her schooling was rough at times with Voldemort in power and getting unwanted attention from Slytherins for being a Potter. Her 7th year was the by far the most eventful and intense year. Harry, Ron and Hermione had dropped out to chase after Voldemort and she had to stay in school under Snape's regime and endure the Carrows' teaching techniques. She helped reform the DA with Neville and the others after Ginny never came back after the christmas holidays. It killed her not knowing where her brother was, her own flesh and blood and mirror image minus the scar and glasses. She didn't see him until after she graduated from Hogwarts and started training to be an auror at age 18 and eventually became one at age 22. She retired at age 70 but is still moving. She's on Giovanna's side who leads the witches and wizards.
personality } Meleny is a very sweet girl. She's always there to help a friend in need or to get someone out of danger. She can't stand seeing anyone being mistreated or in pain. In school she was the "Gryffindor Princess" because she was so helpful and all the first years looked up to her when she got older because she protected them from danger. She hexed any Slytherin who dared to pick on an ickle first year. As the years went on, the wear and tear started to show in her old age, she was practically 80 already but that didn't stop her from fighting the good fight. She'd fight until she died of old age.

roleplay sample } Fifteen Year Old Meleny Amherst walked through the corridors towards the room of requirement. Her D.A coin was in her pocket blazing hot. She looked behind her to make sure nobody was following her. She was a very paranoid person and couldn't help it. The school seemed to be crawling with death eaters and she didn't feel safe anymore. She mostly hid in the common room or walked around the grounds. She seized every opportunity she could to get out of the castle. She seemed to have lost count of everyone who were death eaters. Whenever she came across someone mysterious in the corridors, the classrooms, wherever she always recieved a forboding feeling from the person she encountered. It scared her. It especially scared her that the nurse was a death eater.

'Where was Madam Pomfrey?' She often found herself wondering as she passed the hospital wing on her way to classes or passing the hospital wing to get anywhere around the castle. Sometimes she wondered if the new matron had tortured Madam Pomfrey and took her job. These terrible thoughts were giving her a headache and she needed to be focused for the D.A meeting.

She came across the familiar blank strip of wall that was the room of requirement. Meleny couldn't wait for the meetings to start since Hermione first came up with the idea of finding a place to learn Defense Against The Dark Arts properly. Hogwarts was facing dangerous times and she was tired of being frightened all the time. "I need the D.A room."she thought trying to push the negative thoughts out of her head. The door appeared and she seized the handle and walked in and saw her fellow Gryffindors Harry ,Ron, Ginny, Hermione and Lavender. "Hey." she said smiling at them hoping she didn't appear too frightened to them. She tried to hide her paranoid nature from her enemies and it had become somewhat of a habit during these dark and difficult times since the school was swimming with death eaters. She couldn't trust anybody except for her closest friends but there were so many death eaters. How could she know if one of her friends were death eaters?
